San Antonio Temple

On August 8, 2009 my mother was kind enough to drive Calie , Ben , and I to the San Antonio Temple. In Ben's primary class he was challenged to make a trip to the temple before the end of August. Mission accomplished! And you can't really tell by the pictures alone but it was HOT! I'm not in any of the pictures because nobody wants to see a hairy guy sweating all over the place.

Ben standing by the cornerstone. I had to bribe Ben to stand there just for a few seconds because he was convinced that he would be attacked by fire ants at any moment.

Ben looking tense because of the few bee's that are buzzing by him. I guess you already guessed that he's not a fan of insects.

Calie and Ben standing in the 90 degree shade. Ben was tired and it showed. Ah memories.

Aside from the heat it was a really nice trip. The temple is one of the smaller ones but it is very beautiful. We did happen to catch a wedding also while we were out there and all I could think about was the poor groom sweating. We ended the trip by visiting the church bookstore and of course the Great Harvest Bread store conveniently placed right next to it.
